The 5 day photography retreat is set in an exclusive, beach front luxury villa in Hikkaduwa, 100 kms south of the capital Colombo.

Day 1:

Afternoon check in, meet and greet.

Evening Introductory session:

"De-mystifying your camera"

(getting acquainted with all the numbers & symbols on your camera / lenses).

Welcome dinner and night cap by the beach.

Day 2:

Morning sessions:

"How to make great Photography"

(Photography concepts used by professionals, how to see light, developing your style).

"Let's conquer that camera - saying goodbye to Auto Mode"

 (Explaining ISO, Shutter speed and Aperture and delving straight into manual mode)

Afternoon session:

Getting out and about locally to test out our new knowledge.

Day 3:

Day spent in the historic sea-side city of Galle, capturing street photography, local culture, a tea factory and much much more. Finishing off capturing the magnificent sunset at the Galle Forte.

Dinner back at our private Villa.

Day 4:

A boat trip to historic temples, Cinnamon Islands, the famous Brief Gardens (Macro Photography) and other local attractions this beautiful coast line has to offer.

Dinner back at our private Villa with an evening showcase of our best images with a few games and prizes to spice things up.

Day 5:

Introduction into post-processing.

Final individual sessions with Chamilka.

Late morning checkout.
